World's First Blackthorn Durian Plantation NFT
The Strategy
We are a leading durian plantation management group, backed by decades of agricultural experience, award-winning credentials and cutting-edge technology. Focused on connecting people with Mother Nature through our plantations and ecotourism with a durian twist, our expertise is deployed on hundreds of acres of durian plantations across West Malaysia, producing premium quality durians for export across the globe.
I was tasked with the ideation and create value-add on for ORESCO plantation via blockchain, web3 technologies and Metaverse services implementation. This was achieved through conceptualisation and strategisation of a NFT together with Singapore Digital Chamber Of Commerce (SGDCC) and Trigger Capital Pte Ltd (SG)
This NFT will drive:
- A system for Growers to own, manage and verify their trees and harvests through our proprietary Smart Contract blockchain technology.
- Each physical tree will be tied to a unique digital plantation artifact with multiple functions and perks.
- For each physical tree purchased, the Growers will be gifted a Polygon-driven NFT for free. This artifact functions not just as an image but it is a digital representation of the Grower's tree in the Metaverse.
- 1:1 physical to virtual tokenisation of fruits from harvest.
- Harvest Tokens can be converted to tangible items like real fruits and glamping stays at our plantation.
- Implementation of blockchain technology to the whole process chain to enable trust, coordination, traceability and transparency from planting to harvesting and packaging to delivery.
