How Brio scaled brand cohesion with speed in a rapidly changing landscape.

Brio offers a better way to access diagnostic testing for customers of all shapes and sizes from startups to enterprises and government agencies. Just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, they had produced a bunch of assets such as a logo, figurines, and lifestyle images. However, they needed help translating these separate assets into a cohesive brand and this need birthed a partnership with Superside.

Brio had an existing figurine library which they wanted to repurpose to create a unified visual brand.

Connecting the dots.

We wanted to communicate how Brio solved the enduring challenge of health diagnostics - access. Starting with the letter ‘i’ in Brio, we were able to create an identity and graphic universe that played up the frictionless and flexible nature of the brand. We created several modular elements that visually reinforce the essence of the brand. Each of these elements represents the Brio principles (partnership, empowerment, networking, leadership, etc). We paired these elements together with the existing assets Brio had to create a unified brand. Brio had an existing figurine library which they wanted to repurpose to create a unified branding.

From these elements, shapes, patterns, and icons were created and implemented on all the brand platforms. With unlimited possibilities, Brio applied this design system to their business cards, images, website, and product design creating clean, fresh-looking assets in an industry that demands trust and professionalism.
