Pantheon – Shortcut to being famous
Pantheon 2.0 Dataset is an observatory of biographies with a presence in at least 15 languages in Wikipedia. The dataset includes more than 85,000 biographies of globally famous people spanning the last 5,500 years of human history, which the data contains information on the age, occupation, place of birth, and place of death, of historical characters. Pantheon has been frequently used by students, scholars, entertainment industries and history aficionados in the digital humanities. This data visualisation ‘SHORTCUT TO BE FAMOUS’ explores the relationship between gender ratio and the degree of difficulty of ‘getting famous’, incorporating many variables.
