email&socials
Overview
It was a final project on the Dribbble Product Design Course. I chose this project because I wanted to try a couple of ideas and see how it would look. What can be done with e -mail so that it is more pleasant for use.
Brief
I worked on a project with the help of a fictitious person who doesn't like email at all, but has to use it. She would like to speed up the routine work and I will try to help her with this.
My role
I worked on the project as a product designer, going through all the stages of product creation, from research to hi-fi mockups.
User research
Synthetic have already been made before me, so I received such a character:
As soon as the problems of the person were studied, the risks were assessed and the ideas were worked out, the following project goals were obtained:
Threaded chat style email view
Canned responsed
AI driven suggestive text (like linkedIn)
Smart folders and filterstopical organization
Here I will show the accomplishment of only some of these goals, as well as some of my own.
User flow
I worked on the userflow of one of the goals - the canned response and that's what I did:
Wireframing
and then I started working on the interface concept:
After several tests with friends and acquaintances, I drew Lo-Fi wireframes in Figma and made a clickable prototype to test it again. And also at this stage I decided to add my idea in which I wanted to combine email and various accounts of social networks with the possibility of sending messages:
And of course, the question was worked out for canned responses. Also, at this stage, I began to collect a design system and prepare components, logo and many other things:
App Design
When the idea was formed and tested, I started drawing hi-fi layouts and creating a design system
This shows the option of setting up prepared answers, in a special window you can add your own option or rely on AI, which will offer quick tips
And here is the option of combining e-mail with instant messengers and various social networks
And this is an option when all messengers are closed, and we see only mail. The buttons on the top right are map services, video calls, food delivery and taxis. They can also be customized
Next Steps
In the future, I plan to complete the development of other goals in order to create a working prototype. Undoubtedly, this will take a lot of time, so I will "eat the elephant little by little, and not all at once" :D
Cheers!
🤭 I was told that the layout in iMac would look cool...
