sermon graphic: childlikeness

CHILDLIKENESS.‍πŸ₯ΈπŸ˜‡πŸ€ͺ I knew I couldn't fake it. So instead, I actually enlisted a kid to help me with the art. πŸ–βœ¨ Enter: CoCo, my boss' 4-year-old daughter. She totally nailed it! I am so in love with how this graphic turned out. It was such a joy to make, I was smiling the whole time I was working on it. Not to mention it was a good challenge for my photoshop & scanning skillz. πŸ’ͺ (swipe all the way to the end to see some of the original drawings!)

This three week teaching series for the Salt Company is all about childlike faith and what that looks like - based on Mark 10:13-15. Some of the traits of children include joy, innocence (purity), faith, and a decided love for playing and dreaming. πŸ’πŸ‘‘ What a sweet thing that followers of Jesus are commanded to have fun, to trust whole-heartedly in His protection & guidance!

So I thought... what better way to capture that childlike spirit than with imaginative doodles and happy, sporadic stickers? Also, nothing will trigger childhood nostalgia quite like those single sheets of college ruled paper.... πŸ“πŸ‘€

Of course the graphic goes beyond aesthetics... they also had to effectively communicate the weekly teaching notes on a jumbo LED screen :)
