Today's quote comes from Stephen King. You might whether love or hate his novels, but nobody can deny man knows a thing or two about writing. I listened to the audio version of his "on writing" at least ten times and this line, although very simple, stands out.

"To be a good writer you have to do two things: read a lot and write a lot. There's no way around it". You can replace "good writer" with a profession or aspiration of your choice and the quote still stands true. You have to put in the hours (Malcom Gladwell says it's 10k of hours) to become good at something. There's sadly no silver bullet.
