Every year, each Salesforce employee is entitled to 6 days of paid time-off for volunteer projects of their choice. This year I've decided to work on an app for my church that helps track and record volunteer visits and service needs of local church members, known as Home Teaching.

To-date these numbers and assignments are handled in an archaic fashion of spreadsheets and printed slips of paper that are simply handed out, and then lost.

This app would not only help the families in need, but also the leadership and members providing the service in keeping a better a record.
