Tiger Lilly - Vintage Botanical Illustration Poster

Perhaps one of my favorite flowers, the Tiger Lilly or Lilium Lancifolium. I crafted this piece of art back in 2016 and recently found it in my archives. AKA a random spare hard drive. Although I prefer the word archives, because it makes you think about dusting off an old scroll deep in an old castle library.

The goal of this modern reinterpretation of the botanical illustration is to create something that feels older than it really is.

The slice thru the illustration represents the dying nature of this art. Cut off from its practical purpose of documenting the natural world by the invention of photography.
