Dark Water

Over the past couple years there has been a lot of change in my life. I’ve moved away from the state and community that I grew up in, I’ve shifted career focuses, and within the last year, started working as a full time freelancer. Through this season of transition many questions arose that caused me to question and rethink a lot of the ways that I was going about living my life. This questioning and processing ended up taking the form of pages of journal entries and illustrations

A few months back I decided to do something with all of that. I wanted to share the thoughts that I had wrestled with in a creative way. So I took all of those journal entries and composed them into a series of short stories, poems and articles that captured the thought behind each. The result is a 52 page zine and it’s something that I’m both excited and slightly terrified to share with you guys. We all have questions but few are willing to push out into the deep dark water of the unknown in search of their answers.
