Powwow App - Dog Walking Case Study

Hi Everyone!

Here is my proposed design for a Powwow - a dog walking mobile app that is optimized for use on different devices and screen sizes, specifically for a service that connects dog walkers with clients.

My Role

As an iOS developer and product designer, I was responsible for identifying issues with the product, developing design solutions to address these problems, incorporating user feedback into the design, and implementing a visually appealing design for the product. I worked closely with the development team to ensure that the design was feasible and could be effectively implemented on the iOS platform.

Collaboration

The design process for this app was a collaborative effort, with input from a diverse group of stakeholders including dog owners, dog walkers, and veterinarians. We believe that this diverse perspective helped us to create a well-rounded and user-friendly product.

Persona

Through user research, we were able to identify the frustrations, goals, and ambitions of dog owners, which helped to inform the design of our app.

User Flow

Based on the findings from previous steps, we have created a revised flowchart depicting the process for booking a walk through the app. The flow includes exploring available walkers, selecting a walker, and choosing a desired date and time for the appointment. The updated flow reflects the input and insights gained through our research and design process.

Wireframes

Before moving on to styling, we took the time to test the flows through the use of prototyped wireframing. This step was critical in helping us to identify any issues or improvements that needed to be made to the design. Wireframing allowed us to ensure that the design was intuitive and easy to use before committing to a final visual design.

UIKit

After testing the wireframes and analyzing feedback, we took the time to carefully define our styles, typography scale, and components. These elements were then incorporated into a cohesive UIKit, which was used to finalize the visual design of the app. The use of a UIKit allowed us to ensure that the app had a consistent and professional look and feel, and made it easier to implement and maintain the design going forward
