Conceptual Alphabet

From a project based upon a reading from Italo Calvino's "Invisible Cities" , I created an alphabet to capture the meaning of the city in the text. I then used the alphabet and related imagery to layout a book design which was printed and bound by machine stitching. A very fun project!

My design won 2nd place at Antonelli Institute's 2015 Design Competition under the category of Typography.
