AQ Presents: Good question!
Recently at AQ we were wondering how we might better engage with the Dribbble community, both actively and passively. Being a smaller studio, the ability to post design often means posting in-process shots – which isn’t always an option depending on the client – and as you may have noticed by looking around, most shots here are polished even when they’re tagged as works-in-progress.
But only the most popular shots receive any constructive criticism, could we Dribble ourselves in an effort to promote learning and discussing design instead of just “liking it”. What happens when we bring a question, not an answer, to the community? After all, Dribble is “a place to show and tell, promote, discover, and explore design.”
So that’s why we’re bringing Good Questions to you! Recently, during a design review, I brought up (and mangled) the famous Kennedy quote, “We didn’t go to the Moon because it was easy…” in reference to making a UX decision that actually created a bit of a barrier for the user – in an effort to get more genuine responses.
What about you? Have you made things a little more difficult on purpose?
