Tabby – Bedroom scene

Drawing is basically the first thing I was ever good at. My mom still has my painting I did when I was 3 hanging on her wall. It’s probably the best piece I’ve ever done tbh, I peaked. But drawing and being creative had always brought me the most joy. It’s where I find my flow and can get lost in it for hours.

Now that I’ve been working as a designer and illustrator for over a decade now, work and creativity blend together, and it gets harder and harder to find those moments of flow… and joy. It’s a really hard thing to balance–something that I’m sure every creative deals with.


2 weeks ago I started playing with 3D modeling/animation in Spline and it’s brought me that sense of flow and joy again that I haven’t felt in a while with my creative work. It’s unlocked a whole new side of creativity for me, and though I’m just starting to dip my toes in it, I’m excited by what I can make with this new skill.
