mosquito (pre SMACK)

I made this illustration for my friend Esi Hutchinson's short story collection Insect Lore. Esi wrote them for her thesis when graduating from RISD in 2020. Her Mosquito story is pretty short, so I'll include it here:

Here's what Esi says about her story collection:

"I think as humans we forget how alike we are to insects and animals. This is sort of a social experiment, in the hope that people can read this and see if they do certain things that I have witnessed these insects do."
