Pictograms for Olympic Games
"Pictograms for Olympic Games" is one of my student projects where I was trying to represent pictograms that whould be unique for certain city, and in this case it is Berlin.
Berlin is known today as one of the street art capitals in the world, with expansive murals painted on numerous walls throughout the city.
The minimalistic style of Thierry Noir stands out the most today, not only because of his artistic expression but also because he is considered to be the first artist to start painting the Berlin wall.
Chosen sports in the first three rows are easily recognisable, but regarding specific pictograms from the last row, the first four present traditional games specific to Germany: Eating chocolates, Hiding sardines, Hit the pot, and Cat and Mouse.
Polo is specific to Berlin because the Berlin Olympics in 1936 was the last time Polo was included in an Olympic competition.
