SOMA safe

Wearable public safety. Product owners at SOMA asked if there was a way to leverage the prevalence of wearables to keep our schools, places of worship and other public places more safe. We designed a simple watch app that allows the wearer to report basic alerts to localized dispatch centers—including silent alerts in compromising scenarios. With proper permission it can also leverage the health monitoring capabilities to send aid where its needed most, or listen for suspiciously loud sounds during an emergency. All this information is fed back to dispatch where they can coordinate with responders on the ground.
