Groundwater Replenishment Info Graphic

I created this figure for an educational piece for groundwater replenishment. The present demand for groundwater continues to exceed the average annual rainfall. These lower groundwater levels enable contamination of groundwater basins. Purifying recycled water and injecting this treated water back into the aquifers eliminates the need for expensive imported water for groundwater replenishment, provides a locally sustainable and reliable replenishment

source, protects the quality and quantity of groundwater, reduces the carbon footprint from imported water through lower energy demands, complies with all related regulatory requirements, and keeps the cost of groundwater affordable for rate payers for the long term.
