Habit Formation App

Overview

The purpose of the app is to focus on positive changes in someone's diet to help their mental and physical health. Our concept focuses on creating a new healthy habit - to eat more vegetables.

Tracking progress, pep talks and easy recipes helps the user succeed. The challenges add some extra fun and motivation.

Problem Statement

Stressed adults need to improve their physical and mental health by forming new positive habits, like eating more vegetables.

Goal

Create new habits based on self determination theory & Fogg’s behavior model

Process

  • Conducted app research, interviews, personas and empathy maps.

  • Defined user needs statements.

  • Created low-fi wireframes.

  • Created mock ups based on heuristic evaluation.

  • Designed UI & UX on Figma.

User Research

After conducting interviews, empathy maps and app research we came up with three different user needs/statements.

Mock ups

Mock ups and iterations of the Homepage, based on user testing and heuristic evaluation.

The main goal is to help the user eat more vegetables and adding a big progress circle in the middle of the screen was our first priority. To make the process easier and fun, we added different kinds of rewarding systems, such as daily insights and fun facts.
