BP Electric Car Charging Station Finder

This is a mini project I designed for the BP Virtual Experience Program on Forage.

bp emphasizes being at the forefront of the sustainable energy transition and, as such, has recognized electric vehicles (EVs) as the way of the future. With so many new EVs appearing on the market daily, there is a basic need for a universal mobile app that helps owners navigate to the closest charging station.

User Persona

To begin, I created a user persona that I used to inform my design decisions.

Wireframes

I focused on the elements and interactions, not how the UI design looks. I annotated my design, highlighting how a user will move from one screen to the next.

High Fidelity Design

Once I had the core user flow worked out, I moved on to design a polished, clean-looking interface that demonstrated my vision for the app.

Prototype

The prototype demonstrated the first flow while accomplishing two user needs: Find the closest charging station, and see if they have enough battery to get to the charging station.
