This is one of the newsletters designed for Humans of Thimphu. It is a special edition where the stories are from one of the remotest location of the world, Lunana. Take a look into the daily struggles and simple happiness of the people of Lunana. Take a step into the pristine mountains and breathe the chilly air of Lunana through the featured humans for this edition.

About Lunana

Lunana is one of the four gewogs of Gasa Dzongkhag, located in the northern part of the Kingdom of Bhutan. The term ‘Lunana’ means “Lung nang sa” translating to the ‘The Dark Valley’ which was prophesied by a Great Drupthop in the ancient days. It lies in the extreme northwest of the country with a total area of 1716.26 Sq KM and is located at an altitude of 3400m above sea level under the Giant vision of Gangchen Singye which rises to an elevation of 7100 metres.
