Instrument — Made in Germany

This icon was one of the earlier proposals for Offset, codenamed “Instrument” and was mainly intended to pitch the idea of a totally new way of dealing with timekeeping.

It was greatly inspired spiritually by classical watchmaking, conceptually and in its interaction by high-precision measuring instruments, a notion we wanted to convey in the app icon. This icon features elements of a Junghans by Max Bill watch and sports a crown, a metaphor which is incorporated in the application’s interaction design.

This was a collaboration with Roman Gerz.
