Mayan Pipes

Logo concept for a company that sells smoking pipes hand-crafted in a small Guatemalan town where ancient Mayan culture is still cherished.

The client envisioned an organic, masculine logo that speaks to a more mature audience. 

I created a combination mark based around an image from the Maya Calendar.

The overall feel is ancient and mystical, so to add a contemporary touch, I went with a simple sans serif.
