Custom Roku channel: Intuitive VOD app for Kids
Another day, another shot!
In this project, we created a kid-friendly and highly responsive video application for Roku. The application is dedicated to users in three age groups: 2-4yo, 5-7yo, and 8-10yo 🍬
The user interface allows parents to choose the appropriate age group, which contains a specific group of video content. We also included a watch-time limit in our solution to prevent children from consuming content without time limits ⏰
The design of the applications' elements had to be simple, readable, and easily understandable. Typically video applications have dark backgrounds, but we went crazy with the colors here to appeal to a younger audience 👧
We also included an "add to favorites" option, so users can quickly find their favorite videos and watch them again. It's a great option for kids, thus, after all, they watch the same episode of Peppa Pig like... 347 times 🐽
