Lime App: A micro nutrient tracker
How can we help young people who adopt a plant-based diet to maintain their health?
Vegan and vegetarian diets have known positive effects on a person’s health. However, they are still classified as ‘non-conventional’ and far from being nutritious. This is a false claim emerging from the lack of information and effort we’re putting into our nutritional intake. Can we find a way to track our food intake and minimize the lack of necessary nutrients for our personalized diet?

Interview insights
Plant-based diets are known for being healthy and popular amongst young adults. So, I conducted an interview with 8 young people who chose a green diet. I’ve asked them questions to find out about their dietetic behavior and analyzed the responses through affinity mapping.
User persona
I created a user persona to represent my findings during the interviews.
Iterations
Initially, I was working on a recipe-app that’s customer-centric to young adults, however, as I moved with the interviews I found that recipe apps are not popular amongst my target segment. I decided to move on with micro-nutrient tracking as this concept would respond to the pain points.
Visual design
I designed everything in Figma 2022.
