Hitchupp
Hitchupp is a response to the Indian arranged marriage system that is designed to work in a conservative society as a progressive online social platform.
Designed for hopeful singles in India, Hitchupp helps them find their ideal partner while they go through a stressful phase under the arranged marriage system.
While young adults and their parents are on the search for an ideal bride/groom, they look for certain attributes; like age, ethnicity, education, family background, etc. Rather than focusing on these external attributes, Hitchupp concentrates on an individual's personality. These individual personalities are revealed through social discussions and lay the foundation of a successful relationship.
In today’s day and age, people are cautious about revealing themselves to strangers in the digital world. Keeping that in mind, Hitchupp uses Profile Layers in order to keep user identities muted. Users themselves have the control to gradually reveal their profile layers to others selectively.
Using these features to create an effective experience to find the ideal partner, Hitchupp hopes to minimize the stress single Indians face with arranged marriages.
