Shake - Channel Guide

Hi all,

Chat is the main feature of the app. After researching many chat apps, we concluded that we need to use the same patterns that users are familiar with. But we also wanted to add experience improvements. We decided to consider the engaging onboarding process to shorten the learning curve and allow them to learn by doing.

Once a user registers the account, onboarding starts with creating the first channel. This way, we engage users to do so and let them use the app immediately. When a channel is created, users can see core activities to take in the chat view: invite people to the channel, create your first offer, browse widgets and add integrations.
