Hi! It's me, brother bear.

The idea for this illustration came up during my last month working at an advertising agency. It was near Christmas, the mood was right. I was watching a lot of artwork constructed using simple shapes and grain texture.

I wanted to do a children book illustration with a big bear as the main character. This whole illustration was done using Photoshop and a mouse.

For color references, I used online photos of autumn landscapes and foliage.
