Vane Hydraolic Pump

Vane pump or hydraulic cartridge pump are used in the installation of many industrial systems with a maximum pressure of 200 bar.

The main advantage of cartridge pumps is free pumping and low noise production. The rotor shaft is driven by an actuator or motor with radial vanes mounted on it. The generating ring is placed in a circular and centrifugal mode, which determines the displacement of the pump.

When the centrifugal force decreases to zero degree, the displacement of the pump is 0 cm3. From that moment the pump does not pump any oil.

In the suction part, the volume of these spaces increases and they are filled by the oil of the suction line. In the pressure part, the volume of these spaces decreases and the oil is forced into the pressure line. The pressure in the pressure section is determined by the resistance in the system. The most important resistance is in the hydraulic cylinder or hydraulic motor.

vane pumps advantages and disadvantages

Vane pumps are positive displacement pumps that use rotating vanes to create suction and move fluid. Here are some advantages and disadvantages of using vane pumps:

Advantages:

1.      They are suitable for low to medium pressure applications.

2.      They are self-priming, which means they can start pumping fluids without any additional assistance.

3.      They have a relatively simple design, which makes them easy to maintain and repair.

4.      They can handle a wide range of fluids, including viscous liquids and those containing suspended solids.

5.      They produce less noise and vibration than other types of pumps, making them a good choice for applications where noise levels are a concern.

Disadvantages:

1.      They are not suitable for high-pressure applications.

2.      They have a limited flow rate compared to other types of pumps.

3.      They can experience wear and tear on the vanes, which can lead to reduced efficiency and increased maintenance requirements.

4.      They may not be suitable for pumping fluids that are highly abrasive or corrosive.

5.      They may not be as efficient as other types of pumps, which can result in higher energy costs.
