CopyCase.com is a project we have recently been working on at Vision Trust.

I have already presented the sneak peek of the project, now it's time to show the desktop application.

A few words of CopyCase - as a reminder

CopyCase is a service that allows you to store data on the web. This is a website where you can safely store your files. The platform works on the basis of the drive you are using. The disk is cloud-based.

It is worth adding that one of the most important features of CopyCase is the security it offers to its users:

👤 End-to-end encryption, a communication system in which only communicating persons can read open messages.

🗄️ Zero-knowledge system, is one of the safest ways to protect your data.

🛡 Military-grade security, the highest level of security, thanks to which your files, documents or photos are really safe.

About the project

Due to the functionalities assumed by CopyCase, I wanted the design to be simple and legible, and at the same time understandable and logical. 🙌

When choosing the color palette for the application, I wanted color accents to appear in important places of the application - so I chose blue. The yellow color naturally appeared in the project, because I used the folder icons which are exactly this color and which appear in every known operating system.

Icons

There are three types of icons in the app:

→ 1 standard - navigating and specifying the content,

→ 2 icons suggesting the state of the folder - empty, full and active (the one you are currently in),

→ 3 icons of the formats they refer to (jpg, png, pdf, mp3, doc etc.),

Thanks to this distinction, the user will find it easier to find his files and it helps to navigate through the application faster. 👨‍💻

Illustrations

The project also includes simple illustrations that describe basic functionalities, such as: drag and drop, password protection, or searching for files by name.

About functionalities

The desktop application is intuitive and easy to use. I wanted it to be similar to this type of application, due to the developed habits of users to this type of platform. ⚙

I will not surprise you by writing that the functionality also includes the possibility of sending a link with the option to download a specific file. However, a useful solution is the function that generates the code responsible for placing objects on the page.

You can also buy a package that allows us to use the larger capacity of the available disk. 📥 CopyCase also has a history of uploading and the ability to freely organize sent documents.

CopyCase is a handy application for securely storing and transferring files. 🗂 In your panel, you have access to information related to your disk - how much space you have left and how much space are your uploaded files.
