Band Sale

Last year, when I worked at the apparel company, I got the privilege to design the apparel for the South Williamsport High School (my alma mater) Band sale. To make it a little sweeter, my kiddo was proudly in the band so I let him have a little say in terms of direction.

(Above): this one was fun to design; it's based on their marching uniform hats. It was fun combing the archives to find out exactly how they looked - it was tricky distinguishing that front set of triangles on photos (there are actually lines on them).

One of the designs he loved the most, I did too, that the band teacher didn't was this marching mountie with this awesome big bass drum. It was based on the vintage logo that adorns the school's old band van and gymnasium wall... despite the teacher's criticisms, the design did sell (I even saw a kid in it walking home in it last week)

The teacher would distill it down to this.. solid but not as fun
