Easter 2021 Art Direction "From Death to Life"
Easter at Northeast 2021.
The flowers in this branding are all real, and were arranged by me and my coworker. We used a piece of foam board from Dollar Tree to cut out a tomb shape to symbolize new life coming out of the tomb, like Jesus being raised from the dead on Easter Sunday.
All graphics for this brand were created from photos, with very minimal Photoshop editing required (mostly to extend the white background on the edges).
In this main image, the crown of thorns was suspended from a lanyard to create the illusion of it floating over the bouquet. I digitally removed the string and clip of the lanyard, but the rest of this image is as it appeared in person with the bouquet physically spilling over the boundaries of the tomb silhouette.
The above image was created as a flatlay, using the natural shadows of the foam board hovering over the flowers to create depth.
I created this "crown of thorns" with a $4 grapevine wreath and toothpicks stained with brown shoe polish.
