Haunted Houses of California

California is not only beautiful but haunted as well. We did a little research into some of the underappreciated haunted houses of the Golden State and presented them on this poster. And yes, we decided to skip over the Winchester House.

Sequoia Mansion

The house was known that children always died inside. At least, we know about the deaths of 3 children and their nanny, who hanged herself after finding the child's body.

The Preston Castle

Preston Castle, once a reform school, became known for its practices. Starvation, isolation, public paddling, and lashings were widespread, and at least 17 children and a housekeeper passed away at the school.

The Fox Theater

Many believe that Fox Theatre has been haunted by a ghost of a crew member since its construction.

The Padre Hotel

Some believe that a handful of the trapped spirits at The Padre are friendly, but others seem to hate the presence of newly checked-in guests.

The Stanley House

Stanley house was built in 1891. It is now museum and many visitors have heard the sounds of a baby crying in the upstairs nursery.
