The client
Grit is a new platform working on solving technical debt.
The challenge
Grit came to us as a fresh startup looking for new branding guidelines including; logos, typography, color palette, etc… They had a general idea of their design vision and how they wanted their branding to be more playful and thoughtful than anything else.
The solution
After meeting with their team to discuss their mission, values, and branding purpose, we created the perfect branding. The Grit logo comprises a playfully simple logotype set in slightly edited playful font and a friendly, neighborhood grasshopper. The logo is Grit's universal identifying mark used throughout their brand and product. The friendly grasshopper serves as Grit's mascot representing their value to always help with a smile. The brand fonts for their websites and printed materials are San Francisco Medium for titles and headings and Inter Light for body text. As for colors, the primary blue is the brand's color which can be used as an accent color to highlight important illustrations, information, UI, etc… In addition to the primary blue, we used 3 accent colors (Green Emerald, Yellow, and Red Tart) that work well with the main primary color.
The result
We successfully delivered Grit’s new branding. Their branding includes a magnitude of details including a full logo spectrum, typography hierarchy, different allowable color combinations, and graphic components. We are so happy with how this turned out and can’t wait to see where they go!
