Day 2: Daubenton

Hello!

I am collecting daily typography inspiration to broaden my knowledge and resources. I'll be testing them through posters designs.

This is day 2. And my selected type for the day is Daubenton. It is a serif type designed by Olivier Dolbeau, distributed by https://velvetyne.fr, an open source foundry.

Daubenton is a revival of the engraved letters of the façade of the Great Evolution Gallery of the Natural History Museum in Paris. Yet, yet it feels timeless, and chic. Its usage here in anecdote candle branding by Nice People attests to that.
