DUODEAL

ANALYSIS:

Sharing shopping experiences on social media can attract new traffic and increase conversion rates. To further boost conversion rates, we can encourage customers to share their experiences and purchases with friends, promoting group buying opportunities through DuoDeal.

UX CHALLENGES:

Introducing a new concept like DuoDeal in the Canadian e-commerce industry poses several challenges. Our first priority is to make the concept easy for customers to understand quickly. The second challenge is ensuring that the sharing feature is accessible across different social media platforms. Finally, we need to ensure that checkout for DuoDeal products is streamlined and does not follow the same process as regular products.

UX SOLUTIONS:

For the Duodeal shopping process, I've devised a new system that assigns each item an individual price as well as a DuoDeal discounted price. To obtain the discount, customers must gather friends to participate in the deal within 48 hours of their initial purchase. Once the Duodeal purchase is complete, each customer will receive a separate shipment to their own address.

To facilitate sharing across different media channels, I've implemented a variety of share buttons on the order confirmation page. Customers can click the appropriate button to easily share their products with friends, who can then join the group buy and receive the discounted price. Additionally, customers will receive email notifications to stay up-to-date on their DuoDeal status.
