The 69 Project
Stoked to have had the chance to contribute to The 69 Project, created by @Joe Geis .
The 69 Project is a curated design project that celebrates the songwriting of 1969, when music told stories.
I chose Led Zeppelin's, Moby Dick for my illustration inspiration. My father is a huge Zeppelin fan and played the hell out of Led Zeppelin II when I was young. I have distinct memories of rocking out in the living room wearing aquaman underoos with Moby Dick blaring from the Hi-Fi stereo. Shit was epic, trust me.
Aaaaand just to ratchet up the fun, I got in touch with the nice folks over at Big Secret to laser etch the illustration on a piece of birch wood. If you haven't checked out their site yet, and have 5 minutes to drool, I highly recommend the browse.
Last but not least, we're giving away the LP-sized laser-etched piece to some lucky person on March 20, noon EST. For a chance to win, regram the laser-etched image in my Insta feed & tag @bigsecretphotos.
Pretty sure this is more typing than I did in all of 2014... fuck, I need a nap.
Thank you.
