Japanese Online Reservation App

With the ongoing pandemic, my Japanese megabank client decided to move their personal consultations online version that would help satisfy the business and its users and help minimize the spread of Covid19.

The challenge is to design a mobile version that is user-friendly and hassle-free that’s accessible anytime, anywhere especially for older users that are not accustomed to new technology.

THE SOLUTION

The team brainstormed an application wherein users can have an online consultation of the bank’s services. Considering the Japanese’s trait of being shy (as discussed with onshore during requirements definition), we’ve decided to implement an avatar facing virtual meeting. The agent can opt to show his face or use an avatar as an overlay. The avatar I designed was created via the VRoid Studio App and was exported as a VRM file to be integrated to the system.
