Sky Guide: iOS 16 Live Activity (Concept)

Sky Guide is an awesome app for stargazing, so I challenged myself to turn some of its useful data visualizations into a live activity for iOS 16.

In iOS, a Live Activity is a persistent widget on the lock screen that provides up-to-date information from an app, allowing users to view the progress of events or tasks at a glance. Read more about Live Activities in Apple's Human Interface Guidelines

Sky Guide has a similar chart in-app where the solid line depicts hourly observable meteor rates based on your location’s light pollution, and the dotted line represents the hourly rate from a dark sky location.
