eBay - logo design concept, branding, logotype

Today I was challenged to design a logotype for a brand name that starts with the letter E, which is eBay. In my opinion, I feel that the new eBay logo is less playful, more serious, whereas what everyone should feel when shopping is a feeling of happiness. That's why I designed a logotype that implies fun and happiness. Actually I could add some color to the logotype, but today I'm too lazy to add more details. So what do you think?
