Recipe Panel - Craft Beer Label Design
One of the most unique aspects of the Barebottle brand is our radical transparency. Unlike many brewer's who protect their beer recipes, we print the recipe for the beer on the side of the label. The goal is to inspire homebrewer's to craft their own version of the beer. Our worries about this transparency are outweighed by the knowledge that drinking beer is such an experiential influence activity that it will be hard to replicate what sipping a fresh brew in our taproom would taste like. There is more than simply the recipe at play.
The product photography aesthetic pioneered by me reformulates the recipe into a visual format. Citra hops give huge notes of citrus fruit, so unsurprisingly I layered in five types of citrus to create this photo.
