Label Design Workflow - Craft Beer

A created a visual representation of my label design workflow.

1. Inspiration: I put together moodboards, search for inspiration, and generally practice a divergent approach to creative problem solving.

2. Exploration: I delve into my mind to create a wide range of possible solutions to the creative problem. I design multiple iterations of the label showcasing unique approaches to visualizing the flavor of the beer inside. In this case, it was a pop art inspired pale ale.

3. Feedback: This vital step shifts my approach from divergent to convergent. Myself and the client are now converging on a final design solution. We typically complete two cycles of feedback. Of course, feedback is welcome at any time, but I find it most helpful to be intentional about asking for feedback rather than to assume that no feedback means "good". ;]

4. Finished. Voila! The final polished product. I create iconic mockups and other material that will help market the product.

What does your design process include? How is it similar to mine? How is it different?
