Liberation Brewing

Liberation was a brewery in Long Beach, CA. The head brewer, Eric Maclaughlin, approached me a couple of years ago to create a label for a homebrew beer he had made for other brewers. That one label led to everything you see below. The name and style of beer were key in dictating the direction of the label art, but I was given a lot of creative freedom and trust. We were in the process of creating a stylistic labeling system to divide the different kinds of beer, but sadly the brewery was a victim of the pandemic and closed in 2022. I can only dream of all the labels we could have made, but I'm proud of what we were able to put out into the world.
