Parts from Japan visual identity creation

Parts from Japan is a fictional music festival for which I developed a full visual identity as part of my UC Davis coursework. It includes a logo, posters, digital ads, branded collateral, and an extensive brand style guide. Above is the primary poster for the festival.

The logo was refined over many iterations to convey aspects of home-burned CDs and 2000s-era Japanese electronics.

Digital branding included ads and social media banners in multiple aspect ratios. The images shown are excerpts from the brand style guide.

Branded collateral included designs and mockups for a T-shirt, fanny pack, and branded snacks.

Here is the complete style guide, which includes details on the proper usage of the logo and branded imagery, and the color pallete and typefaces used to ensure consistency across any future design work.
