Since 2016, we have been supporting BTV in its digital transformation - both at the strategic level and in technical product development and digital marketing.
The targeted and customer-oriented use of technology is a central strategic field of action and development for financial companies. Our long-standing client - BTV Vier Länder Bank - has assigned special importance to the field of action "digitalization" in the course of its corporate strategy 2030.

Development of the digital strategy
As a management consultant, we were able to advise and shape BTV's Strategy 2030 in a 2-year strategy process in the area of digital transformation. This Strategy 2030 set standards within many departments of BTV and pursues the vision to digitalize BTV in many business processes.
In the course of this process, TOWA analyzed existing business processes, translated them digitally and evaluated their impact on the organization. The result is a digital roadmap that contains the fields of action and transformation projects that will be successively implemented with our participation.
Building blocks of the digital strategy
The high priority of the strategy is also manifested in BTV's organizational structure: By appointing a new Digital Board and establishing the Digital Units department, which has the task of creating, managing, securing and passing on value for BTV's customers in the digital space, the bank is committed to the consistent and professional path of digitalization. The competence center of the digital units offers us - in the 5 years of cooperation to date - as a contact and know-how carrier, the ideal partner for the successful implementation of the transformation projects.
Digital Marketing & Sales Program
In the course of the Strategy 2030, we developed a program for digital communication and digital sales support. BTV's digital communication strategy includes all touchpoints along the sales funnel with a special focus on search engine optimization and target group-specific content.
At the heart of this is the new BTV website, which specifically addresses the various target groups and services of BTV and serves as a platform for all target pages of digital communication.
Social media communication
In addition to the website, the social media presence was also used as an important information and sales channel for customers in 2021. In addition to the launch on Facebook, the focus was on expanding activities on LinkedIn. In the course of the website launch, numerous SEM campaigns were launched to support sales, and a corporate customer campaign was launched on LinkedIn and in the display network. The presence was given an additional boost by the LinkedIn profile of CEO Gerhard Burtscher, which was also launched in 2021.
Corporate website
In the course of content and site map development, the bank's products and services were adapted to the individual needs of customers. In order to collect qualified leads and process them efficiently in lead management, a contact form was developed that forwards the inquiry internally to the responsible person based on interest, target group and location data. From a technical perspective, the website meets all publishing, security, compliance and UX requirements. The setup includes the content management system WordPress in combination with the WordPress API and nuxt.js as frontend framework. By separating front-end and back-end, not only the security was increased, but also the performance of the website in terms of loading times was greatly improved.
Awareness campaigns
To support the relaunch of the BTV website, a digital beacon campaign was developed together with the marketing team of TOWA and BTV, which was played out on various digital touchpoints. The goal of this awareness campaign was to inform potential customers about BTV's new digital services and to create awareness. Through remarketing, this increased awareness could also support lead generation and led to new leads at BTV. Brand awareness was also increased and expanded in SEA through a brand campaign. This always-on campaign is continuously optimized and ensures visibility of BTV for its services & products.

Guarantee portal: development of a banking application
Concluding a bank guarantee is a complex business process that requires the involvement of multiple roles and people - both on the customer and bank side. The end-to-end digitization of this process, enables BTV not only to respond faster, more error-free and more efficiently to customer needs, but also to convince potential customers who could not be served previously due to their high demand for bank guarantees.
The banking application "BTV Garantie-Portal" now enables corporate customers to apply for, conclude and manage bank guarantees digitally in a direct way. Various approval and application processes make it easier for both the customer and BTV's specialist departments to complete applications collaboratively across different departments and roles.
The developed application impresses with an intuitive and clear user interface, high security standards and fast performance.

Intranet: Application for internal communication
An important step in the direction of internal communication and digital transformation was the introduction of the intranet: As an integral part of the modern workplace (keyword "modern work-place"), information is presented even more simply and clearly. This further improves internal communication and employee engagement.
In terms of technical solution design, the intranet was built on BTV's newly introduced Confluence. Using API, the information relevant for the intranet is made available to the front end. The design system developed by TOWA forms the basis for the frontend, which was implemented using the Javascript framework react and next.js.
