Soffia's House mural, Siglufjörður, Iceland

Client: Soffia’s House – a Guesthouse in Siglufjörður, Iceland (soffiashouse.com) Brief: To create a large outdoor mural and signage for this quaint little guesthouse on the edge of the Arctic circle. I decided to paint a history portrait (3m x 2m) to pay tribute to the founder of the house, store merchant­ Sigurður Jóhann Sveinsson Fanndal (b.1876 d.1938). He and his descendants ran their family store in this house for over 3 generations from 1921 to 1997.
