Improving onboarding with a public clip library

At Rotor, we aim to help musicians find the right visuals to showcase their music and our clip library is home to thousands of high quality clips you won't find anywhere else. However, this content has only ever been accessible from within video creation journeys — when users are signed in.

We decided to unlock the journey by making our clip library publicly viewable, so now anyone can see our vast array of prime stock footage and curated collections. We've also made it easier and faster for people to jump right into making a video as soon as they find a clip they like.

Video clips can now be indexed by search engines and visitors can become motivated video creators in a just few taps — so far this seems to be having a positive impact as we've seen an increased number of new sign ups over the last few weeks.
