GogglePal Mark

GogglePal is a heads-up-display that can be mounted on any goggle and provides real time data to the rider as well as allowing them to track their friends on the mountain. Octopus is working with the AR Devices team on a visual identity and marketing website for the new product.

Because the product has a broad range of features that would appeal to slightly different user groups, we devised a branding system that broke the product down into three core feature sets:

Track – Performance Tracking Aspects
Meet – Social Aspects
Burn – Fitness Aspects

The central mark needed to be simple and strong as it will mainly be seen on the surface of a small magnet that sits on the outside of the goggle lens. The dot on the surrounding circle represents and the location of the magnet on the goggle itself.

The three supporting logos use the core mark as foundation and introduce additional elements to represent each of the feature sets.

The color palette builds around a central gradient that represents the first light on a snow-covered mountain. It has been paired with a palette of flat colors that will be used in the marketing site.
