Glasgow City Council: digital learning identity

Glasgow City Council Education Department is looking for an identity to express their digital learning programme which gives each pupil from Primary, Secondary and ASL an iPad to share in digital learning in school and at home. I created this identity for them by combining wifi waves which symbolise the delivery system of the digital learning and then combined this with a book silhouette which has a deep set symbolic association with learning and knowledge acquisition. I then used the corporate colours of Glasgow City Council to make this a "family" logo worked well with the Glasgow Marque which has been Glasgow City Council's identity for some time now, I used a soft rounded human font to invite young learners for the legend to make the logo as accessible as possible.
