Dawson XK9 Signature

As a graphic designer, I do not sign my work.

But when I had created 9 drawings in my new Comics of Comedy series, something clicked. My illustrations, cartoons, comics, have always been more personal than my work done specifically for clients. Client work is for them. But Comics of Comedy is first an expression of me and my point of view.

So I decided to develop a signature that was in keeping with the style of the Comics of Comedy.

I am sincerely interested in other designers opinions of this. Less for its design merit. More for the specific act of signing the work. I care enough about these to put my name on them. Is that too much ego? Is it weird.
