Stylized Light
Gathering Reference
My goal for this project was to create a stylized lights prop within a small scene that would be used in animation and games. I began by searching online for lights backpacks and real-life lights on Pintrest, ArtStation, and Google images.
Modeling
I started with a basic concept of a simple light. The light was going to be fashioned on a World of Warcraft and Medieval style light. I wanted the light to be stylized, yet simple. The modeling was done exclusively in Blender.
Materials
I wanted to keep the texture simple and somewhat stylized. I wanted simple textures that would bring out the simplicity of the style of the light. I used procedural textures made entirely within Blender as well as a texture (grass) made in Krita and a second texture (glass) made in Photoshop.
